RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray had a career-high 39 points to lead Houston past San Diego in the Round of 64 on Thursday. He added eight rebounds and a steal in the win.

It was an unbelievable performance from Gray, particularly in the second half where he put the team on his shoulders and scored 23 of Houston's 28 points. Gray also drove through the heart of San Diego State's defense and got the game-winning shot to fall with barely a second left on the clock. He and the Cougars will face the winner of the Michigan-Montana matchup on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray had 33 points to go with four rebounds and two steals in Saturday's win over Wichita State.

Gray's electric performance helped propel Houston to the AAC Title Game against Cincinnati. He has posted 30-point outings in three of his last six games and will need to have another big performance Sunday for Houston to contend with the Bearcats. In his last meeting with Cincinnati, Gray had 15 points on 6-for-18 shooting.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray had 34 points (12-17 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-7 FT) to go with eight assists and two steals in Thursday's blowout win over Tulsa.

The Cougars were on fire from beyond the arc Thursday and Gray was no exception as he canned a season-high five triples, tying his previous mark from November when Houston took on Drexel. Gray wasn't overly reliant on the three ball, however, as he also got to the hoop and the foul line. He's the AAC's leading scorer, pouring in 19.6 points per game, and he's doing it on a remarkably efficient 48.7 percent shooting. Gray and the Cougars will have another favorable matchup Sunday when they visit East Carolina.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray scored 37 points (13-21 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT) with six rebounds and four assists in the loss to Drexel in the Paradise Jam on Friday.

Gray served his one-game suspension for playing in an impermissible game during the summer. He looked ready to dominate even if he was unable to lead the Cougars to a victory. Houston meets Liberty in the consolation bracket and Gray could have another big scoring game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray (suspension) is able to return for Friday's game against Drexel, Josheph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gray was suspended one game for playing in a church recreation basketball game last March. He sat out the season opener against McNeese State, and is now eligible to return for the Cougars. Gray was one of the nation's leading scorers in 2016, averaging 20.6 points per game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray was suspended for Houston's opener against McNeese State because he played in a church league rec game over the summer, ESPN reports.

Gray was the Cougars' leading scorer at 20.6 points last season. Junior college transfer Corey Davis Jr. could start and have a featured offensive role. Gray should return next Friday against Drexel.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gray put up 25 points and tallied 11 dimes in an exhibition victory over Baylor on Saturday, The Houston Chronicle reports.

Gray put together the impressive line by shooting 7-of-15 from the field and 10-of-14 from the charity stripe. The North Carolina native was the 2016-17 AAC scoring leader with an average of 20.6 points, and has already been voted to the 2017-18 preseason all-conference first team. His scoring may be tough to improve upon after averaging 32.3 MPG last season, but there's room to grow in the assist department, where he contributed 2.9 per contest. Houston is picked to finish sixth in the conference in the annual preseason coach's poll after landing a NIT invite a season ago.
