Waiver Wire Watch: Players to Pick Up Week 6
Throughout the college football season, I'll pick two guys from every conference who either caught my eye in the previous week or who have a favorable match-up in the near future. As always, I'll get to any questions or comments you have in the comments section below.
Ryquell Armstead, RB, Temple
In Temple's shootout with Boston College, Armstead was the best player on the field while averaging 7.1 yards per carry and four touchdowns on 24 carries. More importantly, it was his fourth straight 100-yard performance and third straight game with at least 24 carries. That kind of volume means he should be owned in far more leagues than he actually is. With an upcoming matchup with East Carolina and considering that the AAC doesn't have a lot of top notch defenses, Armstead is one of my top recommendations this week.
Keith Corbin, WR, Houston
The Cougars were on a bye last week, meaning that Corbin is likely still floating out there to be taken on the waiver wire. Teammate Marquez Stevenson was snatched up earlier this year and Corbin is the next best thing available. Corbin has 17 catches for 286 yards and four touchdowns which is a bit better than Courtney Lark's 18 catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns. Corbin can be deployed versus Tulsa and East Carolina for the next two weeks.
Ryan Finley, QB, NC State
