Waiver Wire Watch: Players to Pick Up Week 10
Throughout the college football season, I'll pick two guys from every conference who either caught my eye in the previous week or who have a favorable match-up in the near future. As always, I'll get to any questions or comments you have in the comments section below.
Patrick Taylor Jr, RB, Memphis
The Tigers are coming off a bye with an ideal matchup with East Carolina this week. I like Taylor even more this week as Henderson was last seen riding a stationary bike with an undisclosed injury versus Missouri. This allowed Taylor to have himself a game with 115 yards and two touchdowns. Even if Henderson is back and ready to go, Taylor should see enough carries to make him a worthy start in Week 10.
Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati
Ridder checked all of the boxes with an impressive 33 of 50 passing for 352 yards and two touchdowns in an overtime win over SMU. He did throw a pair of picks, but this was partially mitigated by 47 rushing yards. Ridder's nice numbers should only continue with upcoming games versus Navy, South Florida, UCF and East Carolina. At 7-1 and in the thick of the conference race, Ridder will be more than motivated to have solid performances in those games. Wide receiver Khalil Lewis has four touchdowns in this last three games.
