Reunites with Willie Taggart

January 30, 2020
Florida Atlantic announced Jan. 13 that Adams signed with the program as a transfer from Florida State.
Adams took a redshirt as a true freshman in 2018 and didn't appear in a game for the Seminoles this past fall before entering the transfer portal in late September. Though he didn't see any action under former Florida State head coach Willie Taggart, the wideout has nonetheless decided to reunite with Taggart, who was appointed for the Owls' top job shortly after Lane Kiffin resigned in September. Adams should have a better shot at finding playing time with a Group of Five school, but he may not be eligible to play until 2021. According to Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com, the rising redshirt sophomore said he'll need a waiver from the NCAA in order to suit up in 2020.
