February 1, 2020
Dan (wrist) announced Friday via his personal Twitter account that he has entered the NCAA's transfer portal with the intention of leaving New Mexico State as a graduate transfer.
ANALYSIS
After taking a redshirt while battling an injury during his first year at New Mexico State in 2016, Dan notched 53 receptions for 631 yards and three touchdowns across the past three seasons. His 2019 campaign came to an end after Week 3, when he sustained a fractured wrist that required season-ending surgery. The wideout should be back to full health ahead of fall camp and will enter the 2020 as a redshirt senior, but he expects to earn a sixth year of eligibility in 2021 due to the injuries he battled in 2016 and 2019. Drew noted in his post that he'll graduate from New Mexico State in May, so he'll be eligible immediately at his next stop.
